London Lunch with Lectures

Everyday Life of the Intelligence Soldier: Vince Schürhoff, 1916-1918, by Dr J M Beach, author of Haig’s Intelligence and other works. Jim is Senior Lecturer in Twentieth Century History, University of Northampton.

(A copy of Schürhoff’s diary is held by the museum archives and Jim has edited it for publication by the Army Records Society in October 2015.)

The 3 Commando Brigade Intelligence Section during the Falklands Campaign, by Nick van der Bijl, author of Sharing the Secret: A History of the Intelligence Corps 1940-2010.

The event is open to FICM members, who may also introduce one guest.

Details and registration form for this highly recommended event may be downloaded from the ARTICLES section of this website. The day will be introduced by Lester Hillman and will feature two speakers. Buffert lunch is included in the cost of just £15.00 for the day which runs from10.30 to 15.30.

FICM Trustees Open Meeting

Open meeting with the FICM trustees from 14.30 hrs plus an opportunity to view the latest display arrangements and the excellent WWI interactive display. Refreshments will be provided during the afternoon.

Open to members and guests but registration not later than 4th September is essential to ensure smooth access through the guardroom!.

As usual, FICM plan to have a presence at Corps Day, located with the museum team. We hope we will also be able to co-ordinate a couple of tables for FICM members attending the lunch.
